ITINERARY

Here is a day-by-day description of the tour:

Day 1 – Arrival in Mauritius
Stepping off the plane, we are already immersed in a dream setting: the air is warm, dense, and fragrant, palm trees stretch toward the sky, and the incredible blue of the ocean signals that we’ve arrived in another world. The rest of the day is for relaxation – we let the waves touch our feet, watch the sun slowly set over the lagoon, and feel time flowing differently here.

Day 2 – Indulgence on white sands
The sun rises over the ocean, bathing the island in pastel colors. The day is ours: we can lounge on the beach with a book in hand, try snorkeling in the clear lagoons, or simply enjoy the sound of the waves. Mauritius is where every simple moment feels special – sipping coffee with your feet in the sand, a smile from a local, or a fiery sunset.

Day 3 – The magic of Chamarel and rum tasting
Today we set off for our first full-day excursion to the south of the island. We visit the ship model workshop, the diamond factory, and souvenir shops, then continue to the volcanic crater Trou aux Cerfs, the sacred lake Grand Bassin (Ganga Talao), and the Alexandra Falls viewpoint. In Chamarel we admire the spectacular waterfall and the famous Seven Colored Earths. The day ends at La Rhumerie de Chamarel, an artisanal rum distillery where we enjoy a guided visit and tasting of the island’s finest rums. A rich day blending landscapes, spirituality, and gastronomy.

Day 4 – A new day of dolce far niente
A well-deserved pause after exploring the south. Another day of relaxation awaits: beach time, snorkeling, or a gentle boat ride in the lagoon. Simple joys define Mauritius – the ocean, sunsets, and silence.

Day 5 – Catamaran cruise to Île aux Cerfs
We sail on a catamaran towards the turquoise lagoons of the east. We snorkel in crystal-clear waters, stop at the GRSE waterfall, and reach the wild paradise of Île aux Cerfs, with postcard-perfect beaches. Lunch on board, featuring barbecue specialties, completes this dreamlike day.

Day 6 – Free day under the Indian sun
After the previous day’s adventure, we slow down: relaxation, sunbathing, swimming, pure indulgence. For those seeking more activity, the island’s cafés, restaurants, and colorful markets await.

Day 7 – Safari and adrenaline at Casela Nature Park
A new adventure begins at Casela Nature Park. We join a safari among zebras, giraffes, and lions, with optional activities available – thrilling zip lines, ATV rides, or encounters with big cats. We enter together, but each traveler chooses their own experience.

Day 8 – Beach time or a hidden gem
Another day to relax on the beach, or perhaps to explore a secret garden tucked among palm trees, where butterflies and exotic birds create a storybook atmosphere. A lovely alternative for those seeking something different.

Day 9 – Beach or adventures of your choice
We can simply enjoy the ocean and sunshine, or choose to explore Blue Bay Marine Park – a protected area where surreal turquoise waters and vibrant coral reefs offer some of the best snorkeling on the island. Alternatively, for a more urban experience, we can visit Port Louis, the bustling capital with its spice-filled central market and street food, or the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden with its giant water lilies.

Day 10 – Departure from Mauritius
The morning is free for last-minute shopping or one final swim at the beach. We gather our last memories, pack our bags, and transfer to the airport for the overnight flight back to Romania.
