The white chalk cliffs of Rügen, washed by the waves of the Baltic Sea, open the gateway to a different Germany – far from clichés. We will discover endless beaches and authentic fishing villages, as well as a steam train that seems to belong to another time. In Jasmund National Park, we will walk through the UNESCO-listed beech forest, while in Binz we’ll stroll along the elegant Bäderarchitektur promenade.
This group tour in Germany in July 2026 will also take us to Berlin, a capital that blends history with contemporary art, diverse cuisine, and lively neighborhoods that set the tone for European creativity.

ITINERARY
Here is a day-by-day description of the tour:
Day 1 – Meeting in Berlin and Train to Binz
The meeting with the tour leader and the rest of the group will take place at Berlin Train Station at 12:00 p.m., after which we will depart by train to Rügen Island. The train ride offers a beautiful introduction to Germany’s northern landscapes – green fields, tidy villages, and gradually, the coastline. Once in Binz, we discover an elegant resort with white Bäderarchitektur villas, wide promenades, and the beach stretching before us. In the evening, a stroll along the seafront will immerse us in the calm, refined atmosphere of the Baltic Sea.
Day 2 – Journey with the Rasender Roland: Binz, Sellin, and Göhren
Today we board the famous Rasender Roland steam train, in service since 1895, still preserving the charm of a bygone era. We stop in Sellin, where the historic pier with its white building standing on stilts in the sea is one of the island’s iconic landmarks. Here, we may enjoy lunch with fresh fish or the local sanddorn fruit. We continue to Göhren, a quieter resort with wide beaches and a relaxed vibe. Returning to Binz will feel like traveling back in time.
Day 3 – The train route to Baabe and Prora
In the morning, we take the steam train again, this time to Baabe, a fishing village with an intimate beach, perfect for a peaceful walk. In the afternoon we visit Prora, a destination that combines seaside relaxation with a powerful history lesson. The immense complex, built during the Nazi era, impresses with its scale and the stories it holds. The contrast between its history and the natural beauty of the beach creates a unique experience.
Day 4 – Jasmund National Park and the white chalk cliffs
This day is dedicated to nature. We head to Jasmund National Park, where we discover UNESCO-listed beech forests. Trails lead us to the famous chalk cliffs, strikingly white against the blue of the sea. The Königsstuhl viewpoint offers one of the most beautiful panoramas in Germany. Those who prefer a quieter day may stay in Binz, but the hike in Jasmund is an unmissable experience.
Day 5 – From Binz to Berlin
We leave Rügen Island and return by train to Berlin. After check-in, we enjoy an evening walk in Alexanderplatz, then head to the capital’s iconic landmark – the Brandenburg Gate. From the very start, Berlin reveals itself as a city of contrasts: historic monuments, modern buildings, and neighborhoods with their own distinct character.
Day 6 – Berlin between history and modernity
A full day dedicated to Berlin. We visit Museum Island, home to world-class art and antiquities collections. We then head to the Holocaust Memorial, a place of remembrance and reflection, followed by East Side Gallery, the longest surviving stretch of the Berlin Wall, now transformed into an open-air art gallery. The day ends in Kreuzberg, a district where multiculturalism and nightlife give the city a unique character.
Day 7 –Departure
Your journey comes to an end today. If you wish, you can spend some time exploring the city at your own pace or shopping for souvenirs before departing from Berlin at your convenience.
