If you are drawn to an exciting trip, full of adventures and new sensations, Morocco, the incredible land with Berber, Arab, and European influences, is waiting for us to discover it! However, unlike previous trips, this year we add a touch of sophistication with four-star accommodations, including in the heart of the desert, providing us with well-deserved comfort without losing the authenticity of the experiences.

The Merzouga Desert, the cities of Marrakech, Essaouira, Fez, Chefchaouen, and the Dades Gorge are just a few of our destinations, but we have also planned some optional experiences that will make this adventure truly memorable: a hot air balloon ride at sunrise over Marrakech, a traditional cooking workshop in a local home, or even a visit to the famous Marrakech Casino. Morocco promises to be full of surprises!

ATTRACTIONS AND EXPERIENCES

  • The endless magic of the Sahara: A camel ride among the golden dunes and a magical night in the desert, under the starry sky, in a luxury camp with elegant tents, traditional food, and live music by the fire.
  • Hot air balloon ride over Marrakech: We float above Marrakech in a hot air balloon, and as the sun rises, the city and the Atlas Mountains turn golden. We enjoy breakfast at height, in an absolutely spectacular setting.
  • Moroccan cooking workshop: We discover the secrets of Moroccan cuisine in a local family's house, and the final tasting will delight our senses with intense aromas of spices and fresh herbs.
  • Chefchaouen, the Instagrammable Blue City: A labyrinth of streets painted in vibrant shades of blue, with bohemian markets and terraces with views of the mountains, where every corner seems to be taken from an oriental painting.
  • Essaouira – The Pearl of the Atlantic: A walk through the historical medina, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the discovery of workshops famous for thuja wood craftsmanship.
  • The Road of 1000 Kasbahs and the Rose Valley: Dramatic landscapes, Berber fortresses, and a journey along one of Morocco's most picturesque routes. Winding roads take us through deep gorges and forgotten villages, where life unfolds at an ancient pace.
  • The mysteries of Fes Medina: A tour of the oldest medina in the world, where we discover traditional tanneries, old palaces, and narrow alleys full of craft workshops.
  • Ait Ben Haddou, the fortified village of Hollywood movies: A place straight out of a story, where the red clay walls have witnessed famous film productions like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
  • Jemaa el-Fna Square in Marrakech: An explosion of colors, smells, and sounds, where spice stalls, street performers, and traveling merchants create a visual spectacle.

ITINERARY

Here is a day-by-day description of the tour:

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Meet the tour leader and the group at the hotel in the evening. Enjoy a late dinner and your first taste of Moroccan cuisine, as you immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere. The air is filled with the aroma of spices, and the city's colorful lanterns create a picture straight out of 'One Thousand and One Nights.

Day 2: Marrakech / Cooking Workshop (optional)
In the morning, we start exploring with the Majorelle Gardens, Yves Saint Laurent's former refuge, an exotic corner with blue fountains, giant cacti, and tropical flowers. From here, we step into the past at the Bahia Palace, where fine mosaics and sculpted arches tell stories from the vizier's era. In the heart of the city, we get lost among the colorful stalls in Marrakech's Souks, where artisans create wrought-iron lamps, handwoven carpets, and seductive spices. In Jemaa el-Fna Square, snake charmers, storytellers, and musicians will entertain us with an unforgettable show. We can end the day with a traditional Moroccan cooking workshop in a local home.

Day 3: Essaouira
We leave the hustle and bustle of Marrakech and head to Essaouira, where the ocean greets us with its salty breeze and the sound of the waves. We explore the Medina (a UNESCO World Heritage site), with its narrow streets and white and blue houses. We walk on the Portuguese fortifications of Skala de la Kasbah, where rusty cannons face the endless horizon.

Day 4: Crossing the Atlas to Dades Gorge
We embark on a spectacular journey through the Tizi N'Tichka Pass, where the road winds through mountains with breathtaking views. We stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village famous for films shot here, where we wander among the red clay houses that shine under the desert sun. On the Road of 1000 Kasbahs, we are captivated by the dramatic views of the Rose Valley before reaching Dades Gorge, where the mountains seem to be sculpted by the hand of an artist.

Day 5: Sahara Desert
In the morning, we explore the Todra Gorge, with its towering rock walls over 150 meters high, then head to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. We swap the car for camels and embark on a caravan through the golden dunes. At sunset, the landscape becomes magical, and the sky takes on fiery hues. We arrive at our luxury desert camp, where a traditional dinner and an unforgettable night under the starry sky await us, with the rhythm of Berber drums.

Day 6: Heading to Fes
We wake up early to see the sunrise over the dunes, a spectacle worth every moment. After breakfast, we continue through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, where we may encounter Barbary macaques. We make a stop in Ifrane, a small town with European-style architecture, nicknamed "The Switzerland of Morocco," then arrive in Fes, the oldest imperial city.

Day 7: Fes
We explore Fes Medina, a true medieval labyrinth. We stop at Chouwara Tannery, where leather is dyed using traditional methods, visit Al Quaraouiyine, the oldest university in the world, and admire the mosaics of the Royal Palace.

Day 8: Volubilis and Chefchaouen
In the morning, we leave the medieval atmosphere of Fes and head to another fascinating corner of Morocco: Volubilis, one of the best-preserved Roman ruins in the country. The ancient columns, impressive mosaics, and arches testify to the grandeur of a city that was once an important center of the Roman Empire, and where merchants once filled the cobbled streets. We continue our journey through the Rif Mountains, where the landscapes become more spectacular, as we reach Chefchaouen, the blue city set like a sapphire necklace between the mountainous hills. The narrow streets, stairs painted in endless shades of blue, and flower-filled pots create a fairytale atmosphere.

Day 9: Chefchaouen
A day when we will let ourselves be carried by the slow rhythm of Chefchaouen. It’s the perfect day to intentionally get lost in the labyrinthine streets, where each corner hides a carved door, a cat basking in the sun, or a seller of traditional textiles. We will savor a delicious mint tea on a traditional terrace, climb to the Spanish Mosque, located on a hill with a spectacular view of the city, and then explore the local souks where we can find unique souvenirs – handwoven carpets, Berber jewelry, and authentic argan oil.

Day 10: Back to Marrakech
A long road awaits us, but we make a surprise stop along the way, where we can enjoy a moment of relaxation – perhaps a bath in the cool waters of a mountain river or a brief stop at a wild beach. We arrive late in the evening in Marrakech.

Day 11: Marrakech / Hot Air Balloon Ride (optional)
If we wake up early, we can choose one of the most spectacular experiences: a hot air balloon ride over Marrakech. As we ascend, we witness the sun rising over the desert and the Atlas Mountains, with breakfast served at height. Afterward, you’ll have some free time to explore the city at your own pace or shop for souvenirs before departing from Marrakech at your convenience. And so, the journey comes to an end!
